It works for you, for now

What this means
Your answers describe an undefined connection that is mostly working for you. What you have is close to what you want. You feel calm or happy after you see them, not wired and anxious. Plans tend to happen, texting runs both ways, and you are not holding back what you feel just to keep it going. Whether or not you have used a label, nothing in your answers suggests this is costing you much right now.
That is a real result, not a consolation prize. Not every connection has to become a relationship to be worth having. Plenty of people choose something undefined on purpose: after a long relationship, during a demanding year, before a move, or simply because it suits them. If both of you chose it and both of you are fine, there is nothing here to fix.
Why "for now"
Situationships drift. The arrangement that suits you in month two may not suit you in month seven, and feelings rarely change on both sides at the same pace. The usual way these go wrong is not a dramatic moment. One person quietly starts wanting more, says nothing because saying it feels risky, and the gap grows in silence. So the useful habit at this stage is not analysis. It is checking in, with yourself and now and then with them.
Keep it honest
Two questions are worth asking yourself every month or so. Is this still what I want, or am I telling myself it is so I do not have to ask for more? And would I be okay if they started seeing someone else? If the second one makes your stomach drop, your feelings may be ahead of the arrangement, and it is better to notice that early.
You can also check in with them without making it heavy. You might say: "I really like what we have. I just want to make sure we still want the same thing. Are you still happy keeping it like this?" Said lightly, in daylight, that is not a demand for a label. It is how two people keep an undefined thing fair. If you have never talked about whether either of you is seeing other people, that is worth one honest sentence too, for your feelings and for your sexual health.
Could it turn into a relationship?
It could, if at some point you both want that and one of you says so. Some situationships do become relationships, and when they do, it is usually because someone asked, not because enough time passed. The signs to watch are the ones you may already see: plans made ahead, being part of each other's lives, ordinary talk about next month that includes you. If you start wanting more, do not wait for them to bring it up. The define the relationship talk helps you put it into words once, clearly.
And if what you want is to keep it exactly as it is, that is a fine answer too. Just make sure they know it, so nobody is waiting for something that is not coming.
If it ends anyway
Even a situationship that works can end. One of you meets someone, moves away or simply drifts. When that happens, it can hurt more than you expect, and you might feel you have no right to be sad because "we were never really dating." You do have the right. The connection was real, and so is the loss. Tell a friend the true version instead of shrugging it off, give yourself a few weeks before jumping into the next thing, and let yourself miss it. The guide to getting over someone you never dated is there if it comes to that.
What to do next
Mostly, enjoy it. Keep your own life full: friends, plans and interests that do not depend on their texts. That keeps the arrangement light, which is part of why it works.
