How to play

Add two to eight names. Each card asks who is most likely to do something mildly red-flaggy. The group points, someone taps the name, and the next card comes up. After ten cards you see who collected the most, plus everyone's signature flag. Play again for ten new cards.

Red flag, beige flag or just a bit much?

Most of these cards are beige flags with good PR: annoying, human, fixable. The ones worth taking seriously in a real relationship are the patterns that repeat, escalate or punish someone for saying no, like checking a partner's phone or deciding who they can see. If you want to sort the two, Red Flag or Green Flag? walks through 40 situations with Lovon's read on each.

Want the honest version about yourself?

The group vote is the fun one. The useful one is am I a red flag?: about five minutes, based on what you actually did in your last few disagreements, with a green, yellow or red result and what to do about it.

No, it is a game for laughs. For an honest look at your own patterns, take the am I a red flag quiz, which asks about what you actually did rather than what your friends think.
