The door looks closed for now

What this means
Almost every signal in your answers points away from your ex coming back right now. There is little or no contact, or the contact only goes one way. The breakup was clear, and maybe harsh. They have said it is over or asked for space, or they are with someone new. The problem that ended things is where it was, and when you do cross paths, they are distant or unkind.
This is the clearest answer this quiz can give, and it is painful to read. It does not say what your ex feels deep down, because nobody can see that. It does say the door is closed from their side right now, and that waiting at it is likely to cost you more than it gives you.
Why "for now" and not "forever"
No quiz can see the future. People change, and once in a while someone comes back years later with real insight into what went wrong. But building your life around that possibility means putting your own future on hold for something you cannot control. "Closed for now" is a reason to turn your attention back to yourself, not a reason to keep watch.
If they treat you with contempt or cruelty, it is also worth asking whether you would want the door open even if it were. Being missed by someone who is unkind to you is not the same as being loved well.
Do you actually want them back?
It helps to ask anyway, because the answer shapes what moving on looks like. If you still want them, the work ahead is grieving a relationship that is not available, which is one of the hardest kinds of grief there is. If, when you are honest, what you want most is for the hurt to stop, to feel chosen or not to be alone, those needs are real too, and they can be met in ways that do not depend on this person.
And if you are wondering what would have needed to be different, write it down. It will not change this relationship, but it will help you recognize what you need in the next one.
What to do next
Let it be a loss. You are allowed to grieve this properly: to be sad, to be angry, to miss them. Trying to skip the grief by staying busy or rushing into someone new usually just postpones it.
Take space you can keep. Mute or unfollow, move photos into a folder you do not open, and decide in advance what you will do when the urge to check on them hits. The no contact plan builder helps you plan it, step by step.
Skip the last long message. A final text explaining how you feel rarely brings the closure people hope for, and the reply, or the silence, can hurt more. If the words need to go somewhere, put them in an unsent letter and keep it.
If they reach out, protect yourself. Some exes resurface when they are lonely, not when they have changed. You can reply politely, briefly, or not at all. If they want to talk about getting back together, you are allowed to ask what is different and to say no if the honest answer is "nothing."
Lean on the rest of your life. Tell one friend how much this hurts, without softening it. Keep sleep, food and movement going even when they feel pointless. These are not small things. They are what carries people through.
Check where you are in a few weeks. The am I over my ex quiz can show how far you have come, which is often further than it feels. If quiet evenings are the hardest part, the breakup meditation is seven minutes of slow breathing and kinder words.
If you want to talk it through out loud, at 2 a.m. or any other hour, Lovon, an AI relationship coach you talk to by voice, is there to listen. It is support, not therapy. If the sadness is not lifting after a few months, or it starts to take over your sleep, work or eating, talking to a mental health professional is a good next step.
This quiz is for self-reflection and educational purposes. It is not a diagnosis, clinical instrument, or replacement for professional care. If any of this raises concerns, consider talking to a licensed therapist. How we build these quizzes.
