What this means
You are in the second band, and almost nobody lands here with all three parts equally low. The total comes from one facet dragging the other two up.
The three are worth separating, because the next step for each is different. Action under doubt is whether you move before you feel ready. Voice is whether you say what you want in front of another person. Recovery is what a no costs you and how long it takes before the next attempt.
Three shapes produce most scores in this range.
The common one is strong action, thin voice. You moved city alone, you changed career, you booked the trip. Then you sit across from a partner and cannot say that the arrangement is not working for you. Voice hides better than the other two because from the outside it reads as being easy to get along with, and it only surfaces years later as resentment nobody saw coming.
The second is strong voice, thin recovery. You are fine in an argument, direct about what you want, and then one unanswered message flattens you for a fortnight and you stop trying with anyone. Here the problem is not getting started. It is the price of a single no.
The third is thin action with the other two intact. You know what you want and you can handle being turned down, but the gap between deciding and doing swallows everything. The message gets drafted, edited, saved, and never sent.
None of these is a statement about your worth as a person. They are three different habits with three different repairs, which is exactly why one confidence number is not much use.
What to do next
Find your facet first. Reread the four questions you answered furthest from the confident end and see whether they clustered around doing, saying, or recovering.
If it is voice, practise on things that cost nothing. Name the restaurant. Say which film. Answer the weekend question with an actual answer. The muscle is the same one you will need for the larger conversation, and it is easier to build where the stakes are small.
If it is action, cut the action smaller than the doubt. Send the two line version instead of the good version.
If it is recovery, count attempts rather than outcomes for a month, so a no stops being a verdict and becomes a tally mark.
If it helps to draft the words before you use them, Lovon will work through the specific conversation with you.
