Empathy on all three channels

What this means
All three kinds of empathy this test scores run high in your answers. You work out how situations look from inside other people's heads, including people you disagree with. You feel a pull toward people who are struggling and you act on it. And you step into lives you only hear about, from strangers' stories to characters on a screen. From the outside this usually looks like a person who is easy to confide in and hard to fool.
The three strands reinforce each other. Imagination fills in what someone is going through, perspective-taking checks it against what they actually said, and concern turns it into something you do. That loop is why people bring you their problems, and why your read of a situation is often right.
Where it can cost you
The cost of this profile is volume. When every channel is open, other people's inner lives are vivid all the time, and that takes energy even when nobody is asking anything of you. Crowded weeks may leave you more tired than they leave others, and you may need more quiet afterwards than you expected.
A second risk sits in conflict. If you can always see the other side, feel for it and picture it in detail, it can become very hard to hold your own position. Arguments end with you agreeing, not because you were persuaded, but because their view was so present in your head that yours went quiet. Partners of full-range people sometimes say they never know what you actually want.
And because you are good at this, people tend to lean on you, and the leaning rarely gets returned at the same depth.
What this result is not
It is not the same as being overwhelmed by other people's feelings. If your answers here sit alongside losing sleep over someone else's problem, crying for hours at hard news, or rescuing people at your own expense, the hyper-empathy test looks at that cost directly. High empathy and too much empathy are different results.
What to do next
Protect your own position in one place this week. Before your next disagreement, write down what you want in one sentence. Then let yourself understand the other side fully, and say your sentence anyway.
Then audit the leaning. Name the two people you support most and ask whether either of them has asked how you are this month. If not, tell one of them something real.
If you want to rehearse holding your ground in a conversation where you can see every side, Lovon is a good place to practice first.
