What this means

All three parts of the partnership are low in your answers. Everyday connection has thinned, arguments do not get repaired, and the load feels uneven. When all three slip at once, a relationship can start to feel like two people running separate lives under one roof, with friction wherever they meet.

This is hard to read, so it is worth being clear about what it does and does not say. It describes the last month, not the whole relationship and not its future. Low answers across the board are common during a crisis, such as a new baby, a job loss, illness, grief or a move, and they can lift when the pressure does. They are also common after a long, slow drift that nobody named. Which of those it is matters a great deal.

Which came first

When all three are low, it helps to work out which one started it, because that is usually where things have to begin. Often it is repair: unresolved fights made it harder to feel close, and harder to feel on the same side. Sometimes it is the load: one person got exhausted and resentful, and the warmth went with it. Sometimes it is connection: the two of you drifted, and every disagreement since has felt bigger than it is.

What this result is not

It is not a verdict that the relationship is over, and this test cannot tell you whether to stay. If that is the question on your mind, should I break up is built for it. It also does not measure safety. If any part of you is afraid of your partner, feels controlled, or holds back because of how they might react, that is a different situation from a disconnected relationship. The healthy relationship quiz is built for that question and shows support lines when the answers point that way.

What to do next

Pick one part, not three. Choose the one that started it, or the one that feels most possible to change this week.

Then have one honest conversation, on a calm day, that starts with what you miss rather than what is wrong. "I miss how we used to talk. Can we work out what happened?" lands very differently from a list of problems.

If you have both been trying and it keeps going badly, a couples counselor is worth considering. An outside person can often see the pattern faster than either of you can from inside it.

And if you need somewhere to sort out what you actually want before you say anything, Lovon is a private place to think it through.

From the wiki

The twelve items on this test are written by Lovon around the three parts of relationship quality described above. This is not a published relationship satisfaction or adjustment questionnaire, and it does not reproduce any of them.

There are no clinical norms behind the five results. They describe which part of the partnership to work on first, based on your answers about the last month, not where you sit against other couples, and nothing here is a diagnosis or a prediction about whether the relationship will last.

Your answers describe one side of a two-person relationship. If any part of it involves fear of your partner, being controlled, or feeling unsafe, that is a different situation and it deserves proper support rather than a quiz result.
